    I don't know who Mabel is. Friend of the family as far as I know. Leanna is the child in the middle, Dad's sister. Dad would have been 10 years old when this was taken. My grandmother, Dad's mother, is "Mary".

    This is beyond any compare, the best view from a bedroom I have ever had. In the summer I could wake up and gaze out the window to see hummingbirds flying around, feeding at our hummingbird feeders and generally flitting from here to there at their usual breakneck speed. Just lovely.

    We confirmed that these were Condors by talking to a guy not far away who was tracking Condors. Each one is tagged and emits a different frequency, so they can be tracked pretty easily. He told us the snake we took pictures of was indeed a Rattlesnake, and the spider was a Tarantula. The males are out and about while the females hang around their little tunnels waiting for the males.
